In the socialization, it was conveyed the importance of public awareness of the dangers of STIs and disease vectors. Currently, public awareness is still considered low, while sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are increasing with the prevalence affecting all levels of society. Previously, STI was often found in urban areas, although now it is starting to spread to rural areas. Overcoming this, of course, requires active participation from the community.

"This activity is a form of BPI's commitment to support the national movement to cultivate HSE," said Akaike. He also hopes that a good understanding and increased awareness of STIs will be able to improve the quality of human life towards a safe, healthy and productive society.

In a series of activities to commemorate the Health and Safety month, BPI has carried out various activities including socialization of STIs and blood donation. The series of activities will be attended by BPI employees and workers from all contractors involved in the Central Java CFPP project.
