BPI Starts Steel Structure Work of PLTU Central Java

Batang, October 13, 2017 - PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) has started the installation of steel structures in the construction of Central Java Coal-Fired Power Plant (PLTU) 2 x 1.000 MW. Today the first column of steel structure was erected at unit 1 turbine building and a ceremony to pray safety and success of the project was undertaken in both Japanese and Indonesian way.  "This activity signifies that the construction works of unit 1 turbine has t been shifting from concrete foundation works to steel structuring works. ," said BPI President Director Takashi Irie.
 
The event to set up the first column of steel structure also shows a significant progress of 2x1.000 MW coal-fired power plant, which progress rate has reached 30%.  Irie said “the construction of the power plant is going to expand rapidly toward the “Synchronization to the Power Grid” which is scheduled at the end of 2019”. 
 
Irie also appreciate the performance of all BPI teams who have worked hard in the process that has been run so far. "BPI also thanked to all Batang community, Batang Regional Government, journalist, and all related parties for a good cooperation and assistance," said Irie.
 

BPI Distributed Books to Perpusdes
 
On the same day, in addition to the process of steel structures works, BPI also handed over thousands of textbooks to 20 TPQ (Alquran Islamic School) and Madin (Madrasah Diniyah/Elementary Islamic School) located in 11 villages: Depok, Ujungnegoro, Karanggeneng, Ponowareng, Wonokerso, Simbangjati, Kenconorejo, Beji, Bakalan, Kedungsegog and Sembojo.
 
This activity is part of BPI's commitment in supporting the Batang Regency government program to improve community reading awareness and literacy. Since 2016 until now, BPI has donated 10643 books for TPA / Q Islamic School and Village Library (Perpusdes) located in District Kandeman, Subah and Tulis, Batang Regency.
