Fishermen of West Roban and East Roban Visit Central Java CFPP

BATANG — A number of traditional fishermen from West Roban, Kedungsegok Village, Tulis Subdistrict and fishermen from East Roban, Sengon Village, Subah District visited the construction of the Central Jaa CFPP 2 x.1000 MW. They get information directly, both the development progress, labor, and the impact on the village community and fishermen.

They feel satisfied and happy, because they get information directly and accurately from the initiator of the construction of the largest power plant in Southeast Asia, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (PT BPI) so that it can balance the information obtained so far from outsiders who cannot be accounted for.

"We are happy to be able to see the CFPP directly and get the explaination from the source and it is different from what we have thought so far," said Bambang Wagino, a fisherman from Dukuh West Roban, Kedungsegok Village, Tulis Subdistrict.

Bambang Wagino also added, after seeing firsthand the development process and getting accurate information from the CFPP owner, that PT BPI is committed to environmental management.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the HNSI Batang, Teguh Tarmujo hoped that after the fishermen from West Roban and East Roban visited the CFPP site they could understand the actual situation and conditions. Because, so far they only receive one-sided information from groups and people who are not responsible.

"Alhamdulillah, they have obtained accurate information directly from PT BPI, both the way the CFPP works when it operates, and during the construction process," said Teguh Tarmujo after assisting the fishermen to look closely at its development.

He further explained that the visit program was very beneficial for both parties, both for PT BPI, the village community and fishermen around the construction of the power plant. Because, it can synergize and balance the information in the community.

PT BPI's External Relations General Manager, Ary Wibowo, explained that the Central CFPP 2 x 1,000 MW uses environmentally friendly high technology, namely Ultra Super Critical (USC) that exhaust gas treatment system can minimize gas emissions / dispersion, making it environmentally friendly. Including community involvement in development is the main key in maintaining social conditions.

"We always try to provide transparency of information and ease of access to local communities and the government through socialization activities, such as socialization to the nearest village fishermen," said Ary Wibowo. (*)
