Commitment to Implement CSR Programs,
Governor Gives Award to BPI
PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) has received recognition and appreciation from the Central Java Provincial Government for its commitment to social responsibility to the community. The CSR Award 2022 was given directly by the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo to Chief Operational Officer of BPI Yoshimitsu Fujii at the Gradhika Bhakti Praja Building Semarang, Tuesday (13/12).
The CSR Award 2022 was given by the Central Java Provincial Government to private companies, State-owned enterprises (BUMN) and Regional owned enterprises (BUMD) who have implemented their commitment to social responsibility (CSR) and contributed to the local government. This award was given by the Governor of Central Java as one of the awards and appreciation to companies that operates in Central Java Province.
From a total of 43 companies that have been selected, there are 18 companies that will enter the judging level, until it is decided that there are 9 winning companies representing the categories of Private Companies, BUMN and BUMD. One of them is PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia which is the owner and operator of Batang Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW.
In his direction, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo reminded all companies, especially those that have received awards, awards from Central Java Province to put more emphasis on CSR for the community. One of them is by providing practical field work training to the community, so that they can work in companies, as workers who have the ability (skills).
"We ask that the company's CSR be realized according to the basic needs of the community, namely building houses, bridges, electricity and clean water, so that companies through CSR can be involved." Ganjar Pranowo said in front of the leaders of private companies, BUMN, BUMD, and heads of departments within the Provincial Government, Tuesday (13/12).
The Governor emphasized that companies must really carry out their commitment in social responsibility to the community around the company and contribute to the local government. Companies must be able to provide reciprocity to the local government and the surrounding community, so that it is expected to be able to reduce social issues.
After the 2022 CSR Award awarding activity, all Central Java provincial government officials, 46 Company Representatives, Community Organizations, and Universities, conduct coordination meeting to report the Central Java Province Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSLP) activity program in 2023.
Chief Operational Officer of BPI Yoshimitsu Fujii said that BPI has always been committed to social and environmental responsibility through its CSR program since 2012. BPI's CSR program is a form of activity carried out around the company, which has a positive impact on society and the environment.
While the scope of BPI's CSR program is implemented in 5 (five) main programs, namely the Economic Development Program, Health Quality Improvement Program, Education Quality Improvement Program, Infrastructure Program, and Support for Social, Cultural, and Environmental Program.
"Thank you to the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, who acknowledge and give appreciation to BPI for implementing its commitment to social responsibility program to the community around the company and contributions to the local government," said Yoshimitsu Fujii after receiving the award from Ganjar Pranowo, Governor of Central Java in Semarang, Tuesday (13/12).
This award is a testament to the trust the Central Java provincial government has in BPI, which has been running a CSR program since 2012. It is also concrete evidence of the synergy between private companies, the government, and the community. (*)
