The Peak of National OHS Month, BPI Increases Employee Ability in OHS
BATANG—Commemorating National Occupational Health and Safety Month, hundreds employees of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) attended seminars and capacity building training in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). They were very enthusiastic about participating in training and ability improvement materials for employees delivered by instructors and work experts at height which was held directly in the Batang Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW area, Wednesday (28/2).
This activity is aimed at increasing awareness, knowledge and ability of employees regarding safety when working at height, especially for Operation and Maintenance teams who face work at height every day. The material delivered by Instructor Ahmad Husein S, a job expert at high altitude is very suitable for the world of work in the Batang Power Plant environment.
General Manager HSE PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, Josman Ginting said that during the commemoration of National OHS Month from January 12, 2024 to February 12, 2024 the company has held various activities, both for improving occupational health and safety, as well as social activities in the form of blood donations.
"The peak of the commemoration of BPI National OHS Month 2024 is carried out by holding seminars and training on worker safety at high jobs. After the theory, it is immediately practiced in the field, so that the material is easy for employees to understand and understand." Josman Ginting said, Wednesday (28/2).
The series of activities in the OHS Month are in line with the theme that has been launched by the government, namely "OHS Culture, Healthy and Safe at Work, Maintained Business Sustainability", is expected to foster the development of OHS culture within PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia to avoid losses due to work accidents.
Meanwhile, a series of other activities in commemoration of the 2024 National OHS Month at PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, have been carried out since January. With the theme "We Stand for Safety" , the company held 7 activities, namely the installation of banners and posters urging and information about OHS, Occupational Safety and Health seminars, distribution of safety campaign media, virtual running and cycling, aerobic gymnastics, blood donation, and OHS training (Basic Fire Fighting & Basic First Aid).
