BPI achieved 3 Awards at CSR & PDB Awards 2024
JAKARTA - PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) once again achieved 3 awards at the CSR & PDB (Sustainable Village Development) Award 2024 event based on the results of a series of assessments both documents, presentations and field visits organized by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration in collaboration with the Indonesia Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF) on May 7, 2024, at the Westin Hotel Jakarta.
The CSR & PDB Award 2024 event was attended by 100 participating candidates and BPI is among the 93 candidates who successfully passed the selection and received awards. Companies that received awards this year consisted of state-owned and private companies from various sectors ranging from mining, oil and gas, electrical energy, industry and manufacturing, plantation telecommunications, banking, real estate, and insurance.
President Director of BPI, Ryuta Sato expressed his gratitude for the achievement in CSR & PDB Awards 2024. This achievement is the success of BPI together with the government and all stakeholders who have been involved and synergized to succeed BPI's CSR program to improve literacy, economy, and development of rural communities around the Batang Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW in Central Java.
Three BPI CSR programs are considered successful in the implementation, coaching, development, and development of the economy, health and resources of rural communities, namely the Social Inclusion-Based Community Literacy Access Improvement Program and the Empowered Community Women Entrepreneurship Program both achieved Gold category and the Program Turning Waste into Blessings: Application of Concrete Coastal Ecosystem Restoration Technology by Utilizing Coal Waste of Batang Power Plant achieved Silver category.
The award was handed over directly by the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Villages and Transmigration Prof. Dr. (HC) A. Halim Iskandar, MPd to BPI President Director Ryuta Sato, BPI Chief Operating Officer Yoshimitsu Fujii and BPI General Manager for Stakeholder Relations Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.
"BPI is committed to working hand in hand with the government and local communities in an effort to develop independent and sustainable communities in every implementation of the company's CSR programs," said Ryuta Sato.
Since 2012, BPI has implemented various CSR programs such as economic development programs, education programs, health programs, social, cultural, and environmental programs, as well as infrastructure programs in villages around the Batang Power Plant. (*)
