Bhimasena Power Indonesia Received Gold Certificate, Golden Flag and Zero Accident Award from the Ministry of Manpower in 2024 NAKER AWARDS
The achievement of the Gold Certificate, Golden Flag of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) as well as the Zero Accident Award for the second time confirms Bhimasena Power Indonesia's excellent operational management to create a safe, comfortable, productive, and efficient workplace.
Bhimasena Power - PLTU Batang, JAKARTA, - PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) as the owner of Batang Power Plant received the Gold Certificate and Golden Flag for the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) and for the second time received the Zero Accident Award for the period from November 1, 2019 to October 31, 2024. The President Director of BPI, Ryuta Sato received the awards from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia during 2024 NAKER AWARDS at JIEXPO Kemayoran Jakarta, on Friday, August 23, 2024.
The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, said that the Naker Award was one of a series of Naker Fest 2024 activities which gave awards to companies that excelled in the field of employment.
"This awards are given to the best companies in several categories, consisting of companies/BUMN that employ disabled workers, companies that comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS, or K3 by Indonesian words of Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja), and zero accidents, companies that are committed to overcoming HIV/AIDS, companies that are active in providing services and protection of migrant workers, as well as regional heads who are committed to employment development," said Ida Fauziyah.
The Gold Certificate and Golden Flag are awards to companies that have implemented SMK3 with the score between 85-100 percent within the company category (Initial/Transitional/Advanced). This is regulated in Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012 to determine whether or not a company passes the SMK3 audit. BPI has implemented SMK3 since its operational period of 2022. The SMK3 audit by an independent external auditor was conducted on March 8-9, 2023, and received the score of 95.78 percent with a Satisfactory Assessment Level for the Advanced Level category (166 Criteria).
Ryuta Sato said that the Gold Certificate Award, Golden Flag of SMK3 and the second award for the Zero Accident category were very meaningful for the operation of the Batang Power Plant. This award is a motivation for the company to make K3 a part of the culture embedded in every company operational activity
"BPI always implements all aspects of SMK3 in the business process at Batang Power Plant in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia and ensures that all employees understand the importance of K3 and apply it in their daily work," said The President Director of BPI.
Josman Ginting HSE General Manager of BPI stated that the benefits provided to employees when BPI implements SMK3 include increasing K3 competencies from the staff level to the management, work procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for those who work in the plant area, routine K3 medical checkups to evaluate employee health, as well as the provision of field clinics accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
“This achievement is expected to further spur workers at BPI to always work in a safe state and go home in a safe condition. The implementation of SMK3 is based on awareness as a power generation company that has high risks in its operational activities. The application of SMK3 principles will protect all workers to carry out their duties safely and healthily,” said Josman Ginting.

S/2023, dated December 20, 2023.
