Empowering the Community Economy, BPI Provides Assistance to Dozens of Peddlers in Villages Surrounding Batang Power Plant
Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant - Empowering the economy of the community around the Central Java Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW ("Batang Power Plant "), PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia ("BPI") handed over umbrella equipment to forty-seven (47) mobile traders who are members of the Bintang Rejeki Jaya Association on October 8, 2024 at the Karanggeneng Village Government Office.
Stakeholder Relations General Manager of BPI that represented by Ahmad Lukman, CSR & Community Relation Manager of BPI said that this activity is an implementation of CSR Economic program which aims to empower and develop SMEs (Micro Small Enterprises) around Batang Power Plant to become resilient and independent.
"We hope that our presence in Batang Regency can help strengthen the community's economy to be independent, which is in line with the Batang Regency government's priority program to improve the regional economy," said Ahmad Lukman.
Karanggeneng Village Head Resgianto expressed his appreciation for BPI's concern for the surrounding community, especially by supporting the businesses of small traders.
"We hope that the assistance received can help itinerant traders to sell both during the rainy season and summer," said Resgianto.
Kardiono, Chairman of Bintang Rejeki Jaya Association, said that this assistance is very useful for dozens of itinerant traders who are members of this association to increase their income.
"Thank you to BPI for caring about us small traders, this assistance really helps us to sell without being disturbed by weather factors," said Kardiono.
