Promoting Womens Football, Batang Power Plant Holds 2024 Arimbi Cup Tournament
Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) held the Arimbi Cup Women's Football Tournament at the iconic Gelora Bengkok Karanggeneng (GBK) and adjacent to the Batang Power Plant. The Arimbi Cup runs from December 1 to 8, 2024, and starts at 16:00-17:30 WIB.
The Arimbi Cup tournament features the best women's football talents from Batang, Pekalongan, and its surroundings. The opening ceremony was led by Ahmad Lukman, Corporate Social Responsibility & Community Relations Manager of BPI, and Kusrin, Kandeman Sub-district Head.
BPI Stakeholder Relations General Manager Aryamir H. Sulasmoro, represented by Ahmad Lukman, highlighted the importance of the Arimbi Cup Tournament in empowering women in sports and strengthening relationships between communities.
"This tournament is part of the company's efforts to empower the community in a sustainable manner, especially women in villages around the Batang Power Plant area. This is a very good coaching forum to find talent and interest in football among women in Batang and Pekalongan," said Ahmad Lukman.
Ahmad Lukman added, "Happy competing to Kencana Muda, Tunas Muda, Batari FC, Climis FC, Gelora Ladies FC, Paradista FC, PFK FC, Batik Woman. We hope this event can inspire more young women to actively participate in sports".
The same thing was conveyed by the Kandeman Sub-district Head, Kusrin emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of sportsmanship and collaboration with the community.
"The Arimbi Cup tournament is not just about competition. It's about building confidence, leadership, and teamwork among the young women in our community," he said.
This event was also attended by the Head of Karanggeneng Village, Resgianto, Tulis Police Chief, Ridwan and representatives from Koramil Tulis, which highlighted the collaborative spirit of the local government in supporting the development of women's football.
This tournament provides an opportunity to bring together teams from Batang and Pekalongan, and through the Arimbi Cup tournament the players can show their ability and spirit. The matches will take place every day until the grand final on December 8, promising an exciting week for football fans and the local community.
