BPI Invites Winners of High School Photography Competition in Batang Regency to Visit PLTU

 

Bhimasena Power – PLTU Batang, - PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI), the owner of the Batang Power Plant (PLTU), invited the winners of the high school photography competition in Batang Regency with the theme “Batang Power Plant for Future Generation” to visit the project site to introduce Ultra Super Critical (USC) technology and operational activities on February 5, 2025.

 

The photography competition held by BPI took place from October 12, 2024 to December 31, 2024. There are 5 people selected as winners who were announced on January 18, 2025 through the @BestClassBatang Instagram page. BPI really appreciates the efforts and creativity of the participating students, so BPI invited the champions on February 5, 2025 to be able to attend the PLTU site as well as to hand over the award.

 

This photography competition is part of the BEST Class (BPI Experience, Sharing, and Teaching) program which is one of BPI's efforts to introduce PLTU Batang to the public, as well as provide space for high school students in Batang Regency to express their creativity through the art of photography and invite them to capture the beauty and potential of the environment around PLTU Batang through the camera lens. 

 

The handover ceremony held at the BPI Administration Office was not only to give appreciation to the winners of the competition, but also to invite students and accompanying teachers to tour the PLTU Batang site to see more closely the operational activities and technology used. This approach is expected to provide more information to students on how electricity is generated, the importance of sustainable and environmentally friendly energy.

 

BPI Chief Operating Officer Yoshimitsu Fujii expressed his appreciation for the spirit and enthusiasm of the high school students in Batang Regency who participated in the competition. He was also proud of the students' outstanding work in capturing photos.

 

“As part of PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia, I feel very proud and happy to see the enthusiasm of high school students in Batang Regency in participating in this competition. BPI Photo Competition is not just a photo competition, but also a platform for the younger generation to channel their creativity, express their point of view, and capture the beauty and potential of our region. We would also like to congratulate the winners who have shown their best abilities in this competition. May this achievement be a motivation to continue working and enhancing students' skills in the future”.

 

Meanwhile, the winners represented by Shaqina Wafiqa from SMA N 1 Batang as the first winner expressed their happiness because of the opportunity from BPI for students in Batang Regency to channel their interests and hobbies.

 

“This forum is very useful for honing the creativity of young people like us. As we know, in this day and age there are many facilities that we can use to develop our potential. I also thank BPI for choosing me to be the champion. This achievement will greatly support me to be more active in developing my abilities and interests in art. Hopefully in the future BPI can hold more programs for young people and students in Batang Regency”.

 

BPI Photo Competition is one of BPI's commitments in supporting education, especially the development of the potential of the younger generation in Batang Regency.
