Peak of Bhimasena Lentera Ramadan Program and Welcoming Eid, BPI Distributes Zakat Hundreds of Rice Packages and Eid Gifts for Residents around Batang Power Plant
Bhimasena Power, Batang Power Plant – Celebrating the holy month of Ramadan and welcoming Eid al-Fitr, PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) through the Bhimasena Lentera Ramadan program distributed zakat of 700 rice packages and 138 gift packages to the community around the Batang Power Plant operational area on March 24-25, 2025 as a form of caring for the welfare of residents.
BPI General Manager Stakeholder Relations, Aryamir H. Sulasmoro said that the Bhimasena Lentera Ramadan program is a social program as a company's commitment to carrying out its social responsibility.
"We hope that this contribution can be useful for the people in need, especially in carrying out worship in the holy month of Ramadan. Hopefully this togetherness and sense of caring will continue to be established in order to create harmony between the company and the surrounding community," said Aryamir H. Sulasmoro.
This activity received a warm welcome from the beneficiaries. Some residents expressed their gratitude for the care given by the Batang Power Plant 2 x 1,000 MW.
One of the community leaders of West Roban Hamlet, Tafrikhan, expressed his gratitude to BPI.
“Thank you for the rice donation, hopefully this assistance can be beneficial for the community in carrying out Ramadan fasting and welcoming the Eid holiday which is coming soon, hopefully programs like this will continue to run in the coming years,” he said.
Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, BPI has carried out a series of Bhimasena Lentera Ramadan programs including the distribution of paint to 22 mosques, cleaning prayer tools and providing additional cleaning tools for 19 mosques, supporting Nuzulul Quran activities at Baitul Muhsisnin Mosque, Rowokudo Mosque, Babu At-Taufiqirohman Mosque, Baitul Mutaqin Mosque, Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Wonokerso Village Hall, Al-Hidayah Mosque, Abubakar Mosque, and Jurangjero Islamic Boarding School. Breaking the fast and distributing love to orphans, Sahabat Bhimasena, distributed 700 packages of rice and 138 packages of gifts to the community around the Batang Power Plant operational area.
The Bhimasena Lentera Ramadan program is a tangible form of BPI's concern for the community around Batang Power Plant. With this program, it is hoped that there will be a closer relationship between the company and the community, and provide broad benefits for the welfare of the local community.
